Product Manager

The Privacy Co. is looking for a Product Manager to join our team to help us build a great consumer privacy product. We are building a product to help average people improve their online privacy and security thought our mobile-first platform. If you care about privacy and security, please keep reading.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities:
The Product Manager will own one or more segments of the product we’re building, researching and planning for specific features and interacting with other team members and customers to define those aspects of our product roadmap. You will also be responsible for writing user stories and working with our development teams to review and approve implementations.

Requirements

  • We’re looking for someone with:
  • 5+ years’ experience in direct-to-consumer software
  • Preferably with mobile-first experience
  • Experience owing one or more key aspects of a broadly deployed app
  • Experience in researching and designing requirements
  • Experience in writing user stories
  • Background in an agile development environment
  • Deep understand product planning, & building and maintaining roadmaps
  • Knows how to make tough prioritization decisions
  • Strong user perspective and a strong aptitude for user experience and user-centric design

Bonus qualifications:

  • Experience in consumer or enterprise Security or Privacy
  • A personal interest (if not passion) in the issue of consumer privacy
  • Experience working with Learning Management platforms
  • Previous startup experience or building a product from scratch

VP Marketing

We’re currently recruiting for a VP of Marketing to help us build an amazing consumer brand, solving the important issue of consumer privacy. We’re a NYC-based, funded startup, planning to release our initial product offering this fall.

We’re looking for someone with direct consumer brand building & marketing experience, with strong technology skills and extensive senior-level marketing experience. A successful candidate will deeply understand positioning, broad brand communications including content marketing, and have visible scars from managing multiple channels to optimize the lead and conversion funnel. Mobile web and subscription revenue experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities & Requirements

What You Will Be Doing

  • Creating and executing our marketing strategy
  • Building an internal marketing team and selecting external marketing partners to plan and implement public relations, content marketing, lead generation, product marketing, and general communications efforts.
  • Overseeing the development of an extensive multi-channel content marketing effort, taking what we hope will board on a journalistic approach to covering our market space.
  • Evaluate and experiment on different channels to find the most cost effective and scalable ways for high quality user acquisition
  • Create, monitor and improve performance across marketing programs and channels as measured by relevant KPI’s

Experience Required

  • Extensive marketing strategy work covering B2C markets, preferably mobile and/or subscription
  • Significant experience managing and participating in content marketing at scale across multiple channels/platforms
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing technology including SEO, SEM, Email, and Video with all requisite optimization and analytical elements
  • Strong personal technical skills, and ideally some software marketing experience as well
  • 5+ years experience managing Jr and Sr marketers in these above areas
  • A personal interest (if not passion) in the issue of consumer privacy
